New Job
I'm doing some music reviewing now (more info)
Tonight I went to see a classic lineup, started off with Good Tapir, hailing from the Outer Hebrides, a bit beardy and folksy as you'd imagine, but some good dark stuff in there if you stick with it.
Next up were Sal and the Toronto Accountants, genuinely a band made up from accountants from Canada, and boy, do they sound it!
Order Of The Leather Water were a bit too metal for my mood, so I went and hung out at the bar with Emelda, my latest, and pretty much missed Two Oysters and a Sound, who I've heard are made up from members of treathammer, but frankly fuck knows who they are.
I was really here to see A Stack of Cows, Sack of Fellows, kind of rural drone pop, with a bit of Wicker Man thrown in for sending chills up yer spine. The singer was wet with some kind of luminous liquid and as she rolled around the stage, bumping into other members, it all started to glow until by the finale there was no need for stage lights. I think we all took a little of that glow home with us into the night. God bless us every one.
